VISITORS are always welcome at St. Chad's.

The church is normally open throughout daylight hours, but if you are making a special journey, get in touch first to avoid disappointment.

Finding St. Chad’s

The City of Lichfield is located in the heart of England. It is approximately 14 miles north of Birmingham and is in the south east corner of the county of Staffordshire.

The church is situated on St Chad's Road and is at the far end of Stowe Pool from the Cathedral.

Visitors may park outside the church or on the grass verge opposite. Alternatively, park in the centre of town, explore the Cathedral and then take the pleasant walk round Stowe Pool to St Chad's.

More about Lichfield

Although a city by virtue of its cathedral, Lichfield, with a poulation of 28,700, is small compared to most modern cities.

The origins of the city are very ancient. There has been a settlement at Lichfield from at least Saxon times.

Apart from St. Chad, Lichfield is famed for its three-spired cathedral and as the birthplace of the great writer Samuel Johnson.
